- HHEAT (Huntsville area non religious homeschool) - Huntsville Homeschool Extension for Alabama Teens (HHEAT)is a "currently under construction" homeschool support group for parents and teens who homeshool for non religious reasons.
According to Alabama law, all homeschoolers operate under the protection of a church cover. This is not that cover...simply a support group for those of us under a cover simply because the law demands it.
The primary focus of the group is to provide social opportunities for teens and their families. We know that the entire family is involved in schooling, not just the primary caregiver. Our on-line goal is to have an open forum to discuss any subject pertinent to home-schooling with tolerance, dignity and respect. Our off-line goal is to be able to gather and meet the social needs of our children.
We will have trips, activities,parties, seasonal gatherings and share our talents with other families. It is my hope that everyone will contribute and host activities to make this group self-sufficient. If you have a strength, share it with us! If you have a weakness, ask for help. We are all here to support each other as we guide our teens into adulthood. This is your community, use it!
Messages will not be moderated but repect and tolerance will be demanded at all times. No soliciting please(yet!)

- HomeLearning_in_PC_AL (Phenix City Alabama Homeschooling Community) - Welcome to our little Homeschooling (or as I like to call it Home Learning!)Community. This group is for those homeschooling in and around Phenix City. As with any other newly started community our group is small but, we are hoping that as more people get to know about the group it will grow. If you are already homeschooling or considering homeschooling you are welcome to join. Parents of all aged children are welcome as well as those with many different homeschooling styles. - HS4RKidsSocialGroup - HS4RKids Social Group is a group for home schooling families who would like a place to post social activities for home schoolers that they have planned or others have planned for home schoolers in the North Alabama area. Our age range is children elementary age children but all activities for various ages are welcomed.
