Geography Postcard Kids Project started for Home School children around the world in Oct 2002 to help them enhance their Geographic studies even some history through sending postcards from their area to other postcard kids around the world. We also have some public/private kids and even some grandma's too under certain circumstances. Lets keep it KIDS their PARENTS ONLY please. No min, no max you send how many you want, whenever you want, to whom you want, but they can do the same too!
Track the ones you get by tacking a pin on to a map,create a scrapbook, do notebooking, hang on your wall, create a huge map, collect for 4-H projects, show tell with your homeschool group/coop. I have tons of links to maps, games, lesson plans, unit studies, certificates, software, everything for helping your child learn geography and have fun doing it!
Rules
- 13yr up can join with their email acct, younger must be supervised on parents email
- Supervision of exchanging all snail mail addresses via email is recommened under the supervision of the parent.
- No advertising other postcard clubs, or harrasing other members with it via private email or posts, you may put/list it in our link sites.
- Failure to send out a post card within a month time frame will get you banned from the group. Recommend to send it out within a week from the email you get agreeing to exchange.
- No spamming! Lets keep it post card geography related topics, no controversial signatures, You can not set yourself up as “No Email” it must be “Special notices”

- stateANDcountryexchange (Homeschool State/country Exchange info for Homeschool) - Our group is for Only Homeschool families. We use this opportunity to exchange postcards that have Information about our state/country and learn Geography. Once you get the card your child finds the state/country on the map and research important information about the place it came from.
Swapping instructions PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT:
- Go to Database Check all information. If I forgot something, email me privately.
- Choose a family to exchange with. Send that member an email copy and paste from database. Once they respond you swap cards with your state/country facts on it. Use post cards about your state. Please send a Post Card if you say yes. We don't want disapointed kids!(please dont send cards without emailing member first)
- Use a postcard that is under 4 x 6 in size postage in USA 23cents. (Canada/Mexico 50 cents)(overseas70 cents)(A.P.O.23 cents) IF your post card is over 4 x 6, use 37cent.
- Once you recieve card, email that family and let them know that you recieved it. (privately is best, some people have their mail on special notice only)
- On the card write things about your state or country that would be interesting to learn. DONT FORGET YOUR RETURN ADDRESS.....
- We have a photo section also. This is not required but sometimes nice to see who were talking to. My photo is posted there. I have a few field trips that we went on posted in there. And photos of how we store our PC's. FEEL FREE to POST YOURs THERE
- Pen pal: Just go to database and put your child on list. If you see someone they want to be a pal with, Email them. ALL members emails are in database under Post card swap.
DO NOT SET YOUR MAIL ON NO MAIL! IF YOU DONT WANT MAIL SET IT ON SPECIAL NOTICES AND YOU WILL ONLY GET GROUP CHANGES AND UPDATES FROM ME. Email me for any other information...
