- NorthernOhioUnschoolers (Northern Ohio Unschoolers) - Welcome to Northern Ohio Unschoolers! The purpose of this group is to have a place where Unschooling families in Northern Ohio can find a local unschooling community and plan activities, field trips, park days, learning opportunities, etc... Or if you just need another unschooling family to talk with, this is the place. We are families who already embrace the unschooling lifestyle or those that are exploring this idea.
We may have lively discussion and debate but NO disrespect of members will be tolerated. This is an unschooling group. Since unschooling is a life philosophy, all subjects are open for discussion. We all may have differences of opinions but lets ALL agree to disagree at times. We may state our points but this is not a race to see who can win. We are here to learn and help enlighten. Lets be respectful while doing so.
If you would like to be part of this group, please send a brief intro and your reason for wanting to be part of the group to the list owner. It needn't be elaborate. We are presently keeping the list at restricted membership to ensure the safety of those in it and their families.

- oh-christian-hs (oh-christian-hs) - WELCOME to the Ohio Christian Homeschool E-mail list (OH-CHRISTIAN-HS)
This is an e-mail support group, created to discuss homeschooling topics from a Christian viewpoint. We are open to Christian Homeschoolers in and around the Ohio area. We will not be asking for proof of your Christianity, but if you are not comfortable with Christian Homeschoolers, then this is probably not the list for you.
We are a group of God-fearing people, having the common goal of home educating our children. We believe in the Holy Bible as being the infallible, inspired Word of God, and use it to the best of our ability, as a guideline in raising our children. We welcome all discussions pertaining to Christian Homeschooling and/or Unschooling. (We realize that the subject matter may vary from time to time.) Scripture quotes are very much welcome, seeing that they are an intricate part of our lives. However, if you have a doctrinal difference of opinion, please discuss it privately.
Legislative updates and/or alerts pertaining to homeschooling and/or family values are welcome.

- OHPDE (OHio Parent Directed Education) - Welcome! OHio Parent Directed Education seeks to empower parents and to encourage them in recognizing that they have the right to direct the education of their children. Parents often do not even know that they have this right.
We are an egroup for parents seeking information, offering support, studying alternatives and networking with other parents who are also taking charge of their family's educational choices. These choices may include homeschool, public and private school, online charter school, tutors or any other method.
Since each family has their own unique experiences in life, their choices may also be unique. What we all have in common is a desire to choose the best situation for each of our children. Often, this means that we are involved in more than one method. Some families may homeschool one child and public school another or have another enrolled in an online charter school. Or perhaps you are supplementing or afterschooling your public school child. Regardless of your method, you are welcome on this list.
Please remember that what works for one family may not work for another. So while we encourage you to share your experiences, please remember to respect others' right to their choices. You do not have to live in Ohio to join our group. Everyone is welcome!

- OPHEN_online - OPHEN is a group networking individual homeschoolers and homeschool groups together for the benefit of us all. OPHEN was started as a local group of homeschooling parents who wanted to get together and help each other, while promoting homeschooling in their area. OPHEN is a Christian organization in the NW PA and NE Ohio area which offers support and assistance for people who want to home school. While many of our activities are off line, this list group is an expantion of that original group, and a means for easier acces to files, publication of materials for members and their children, public awareness of the group etc. OPHEN members typically organize a number of exciting and educational activities each year, from science and education fairs to costume parties and spelling bees. We have published a monthly newsletter, and have a members lending library. OPHEN also has field trips and educational outings, as well as clubs, such as Bible Quizzing and Keepers of the Faith.
