Ohio Email Lists, Support Groups, Message Boards, Forums and Newsletters
    P - Z

The Cincinnati Homeschool Convention features a huge homeschool curriculum exhibit hall.

s_oh_homeschool (SouthernOhioHomeschoolers) - SouthernOhioHomeschoolers is a group (for those who homeschool only)where we can post events and activities that would be of interest to homeschoolers. Those folks wanting to send info for homeschoolers may send me a note and I will post it for them but at this time we are reserving membership for homeschoolers only. Also feel free to post websites, books and other resources that might be helpful to homeschooling. This is not a forum to use for debating issues that may ultimately offend any member of the group. There are already other groups where members discuss issues and opinions that are not directly related to homeschooling. There will be no toleration for members who use this list to spam, in any way speak out against another member, ideas or beliefs due to their own personal opinions. Members that abuse this group will be given a warning and if they do not comply then they will be removed from this group. This group is for resource sharing. The events and activities posted do not need to be located within the Southern Ohio area only since many homeschoolers travel as part of their education. I hope this group becomes a valuable resource to us all as fellow homeschoolers.

    To subscribe, visit s_oh_homeschool.

SunburyHomeEducators (Sunbury Home Educators) - The Sunbury Home Educators (SHE) is a Christ-centered home school group which welcomes all home-schooling families for encouragement and support. To find out more about us, please stop by the Community Library in Sunbury, Ohio and ask to see our information folder at the front desk. We hold monthly meetings from September to May in the Sunbury area. We also organize weekly classes during the school year for pre-school through middle school aged children.

    To Subscribe, visit SunburyHomeEducators.

SWCAH (South-West Columbus Area Homeschoolers) - Welcome to the South-West Columbus Area Homeschoolers group (SWCAH). SWCAH is an inclusive homeschool group that typically meets on the third Thursday of each month. See the group calendar for dates and times.

Everyday online discussions may include questions, support of other homeschoolers, field trip and play date ideas, monthly meeting information, educational resources or anything else relevant to homeschooling.

The group is inclusive. This means that it is open to anyone regardless of race, religion, home school styles, parenting styles, etc. Public online charter school families are welcome to join our group and participate in our activities. If your child attends public or private school, you are welcome to join to learn more about homeschooling.

    This group is:

    • a place to ask homeschooling questions
    • a place to help answer the questions of others
    • a place to organize field trips
    • a place to share educational resources or websites
    • a place to get support from other homeschool families
    • a place to sell, trade or give used books, etc. to others
    • a place where homeschooling families feel at home

    This group is not:

    • a place to advertise items that are non-educational
    • a place to send any kind of spam
    • a place to belittle another person for any reason

We do not have membership fees. The only thing required to join is to show up at a meeting or subscribe to the SWCAH group e-list.

We talk about anything that has to do with schooling at home in South West Ohio. We go on FUN LEARNING field trips, and meet when possible to make friends and socialize with each other.

We ask that our members remain on Digest or Individual Email so we can invite you to those "spur of the moment" events we might go to.
