We are a group of homeschoolers from local communities with many of us attending Community Bible Church in Brighton, Michigan. CHOICE provides support, encouragement, social activities, and enrichment activities that enhance our homeschooling families and the children we homeschool. We adhere to God's teaching and wisdom in His Word while we grow and share Christ with others!

Do you live in the Eastern region of the United States? You are invited to join our online homeschool support group. We are a central meeting point for Evangelical, Bible based, Spirit filled Christians who homeschool in Michgian.

Join us for member led events and activities as well as our own sponsored events. (Like our annual Inspiration Station seminar and summer FIRE homeschool camp!) We are also a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award.

We are spread out in the Monroe County Michigan and the Lucas County Ohio area. We will be posting weekly get togethers and monthly field trips to give our kids the opportunity to get together and also give moms the chance to get together.

Our group mission statement is to respect all opinions, celebrate the diversity of our members and help enrich the homeschooling community by creating educational and social opportunities in the area as well as being an online forum for homeschoolers to discuss any topic of interest.

We generally get together for fun activities once a week, and all members are invited to plan and announce activities at any time. H_O_W offers social and educational activities and support for homeschoolers. Some current activities include park days, bowling, and Moms night out.

Meetings are the second Tuesday of every month, with time and location posted on the message board. Generally, meetings are used for kids to play and/or do a short activity and for adults to get to know one another, offer support, and plan events. We have members of all ages.

If someone says something that offends, please remember that e-mail communication is limited at best and discussions about our different beliefs and philosophies are best conducted in person. We are an eclectic group of families in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area who meet in real life on a regular basis to offer support and comraderie in our homeschool journeys. We are a non-religious, tolerant and fun group who enjoy exploring new horizons in our children's (and our own) education.

Kalamazoo Homeschool Connection exists mainly for the opportunity to share ideas and support in a relaxed setting while the children play nearby (or under our feet!). We are an open group to whomever desires to genuinely share and learn.

There are many religions and lifestyles represented in our group, so please be sensitive when posting anything of a potentially offensive nature. Email is certainly a less than perfect mode of communication, and being clear and compassionate in sharing goes a long way towards keeping misunderstandings at bay.

Through December 2006 we are meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays. We also have Homeschool Scouts, a monthly Mom's Support/Night Out, a monthly field trip, and our quarterly Family Potluck is scheduled for January. Check the calendar for time and location information.

I set up this site so that we can all list our wares at our own covenience! It has been a challenge to set up used-book sales that will work with all of our schedules, so now you can do it from home!! If you don't have internet access you may have a friend who is a member list them for you and work out the details amongst yourselves.

All delivery, pick-up and monetary transactions must be worked out with the person you are purchasing from. Owner/moderator will not be held responsible for any transactions!
