    General description (or Mission Statement): Our goal is to allow homeschooled students to have relationships through various academic and recreational activities with other homeschoolers. We accomplish this through the active participation of our parents through a team effort. "MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK"

    Requirements: proof of membership to the Homeschool Legal Defense Association; list of curriculum chosen or a detailed scope and sequence; attendance records (140 days required) kept and turned in at our annual mandatory meeting (lumped with end of year bash); and starting at grade seven - mandatory testing every other year. Diploma requirements are HS transcripts kept with our required High School credits per subject and a score of 16 or higher on the ACT or passing of the AL Board of Education High School Exit Exam - these are required by AL colleges from homeschoolers. Special Education diplomas will be offered as well. Open to working or single parents or care givers who teach.

    Fees: $75/year per family

    Services: Activities may include; monthly field trips and Mom's Night Outs; Holiday Parties; an Education Fair; Field Day; Weekly Art and PE coop classes; and as needed with growth..Teen activities. All co-op classes and most parties will be held at Fyffe First Baptist Church. Hope of offering duel enrollment and library next year 2009-2010. Offer to keep your transcripts but not mandatory if you want to keep your own. A diploma will be given with stated criteria met. Report cards offered for those interested. Mentoring offered to first year homeschoolers or others that would like that service. We have an email group where ideas and information are shared.

    Additional Info: All money goes into the group. No one (including the church gets 'paid') for services. We do give the church 10% of every enrollment to help cover the cost of the utilities we add to throughout the year.

    Support group offered to anyone regardless of cover: Heritage Academy of Fyffe Support Group. This is a homeschool support group located on Sand Mountain in Fyffe. Our Goal is to allow homeschooled students to have relationships through various Academic and recreational activities with other homeschoolers through weekly And monthly activities. Fee of $70/year per family to help cover supplies for parties and activities.
