General description (or Mission Statement): The school and homeschool center were formed to provide families with a secure place to homeschool their children, regardless of religion, sex, race, or culture. We believe that the family unit is the foundation of society and parents can be the best teachers for their children. Our goal is to provide support and assistance to homeschooling families in the form of assistance from a certified teacher, availability of educational resources, provision of academic records, and by offering a large variety of programs, field trips, classes, workshops, and other activities.

Enrolled Families - adult supervising education, monthly reports, tuition, appropriate behavior
Associate Families - tuition and appropriate behavior
Non-Members - fees for each class they wish to take and appropriate behavior
Tutoring - fees paid monthly and appropriate behavior
Fees: Enrolled Family $45/month
Associate Family $35/month
Non-member - price of classes you wish to attend
Tutoring - $15 an hour for non-members
$10 an hour for enrolled and associate families
Services: four levels of participation at the Tennessee Valley Homeschool Center
ENROLLED FAMILY - Enrolled families can check out Resource Center items, can attend classes, activities, field trips, and workshops scheduled. They get first choice on signing up for classes and all activities where a maximum number applies. They also get legal coverage from Franklin School, record keeping, and a certified teacher available for advice through email, the telephone, and/or in person meetings.
ASSOCIATE FAMILY - An associate family can check out Resource Center items, can attend classes, activities, field trips, and workshops scheduled. They get second choice on class signs ups below the enrolled families where a maximum number applies. Franklin School does not legally cover them, so a meeting with the director is not required and no transcripts are provided. Price listed is per family.
NON-MEMBER - As a non-member you are only required to fill out the participation and behavior contract. Appropriate behavior as outlined in the participant and behavior contract is required. Non-members can sign up for activities at the homeschool center on a class by class basis (a month ahead of time). Class fees are double that of those enrolled or associate members and posted on the website. Non-members get third choice of classes at sign ups behind the enrolled and associate members (dates for sign ups are posted on the website) A non-member can not check out resources from the resource center. Private tutoring is available for non-members at $15/hour.
PRIVATE TUTORING ONLY - If you just wish private tutoring you contact the school and this is taken care of on an individual basis. The cost is $15/hour for tutoring.
Additional Info: Sign ups for monthly activities are listed online at the website listed above, as well as calendars for the year. Enrolled and Associate families can sign up for activities usually the third week of the month prior to classes being held. Non-Members can sign up for activities usually the last Monday of the month prior to classes being held.
