General description (or Mission Statement): C. S. Lewis Christian School provides a legal cover for Christian families in Alabama who teach their children at home.

Requirements: Single parents / working parents are welcome, although we strongly recommend that one parent be with the child/children during school hours, and that young children (under 13) not be left alone at home.

There are no required meetings, curriculum, number of days' attendance, or method of instruction. The only required paperwork is the attendance record turned in at the end of the school year. However, if you think you will need a transcript at some time in the future, you will need to send in a record of courses / grades for each student at the end of the school year, and we will keep that on file for you.

Fees: $100 per family per school year (September-May)

Services: Two-three field trips per year (generally within a 100-mile radius of Pell City), diplomas, transcripts
